Why Choose PoseidonDeck

Description

Camo Grooved EVA Foam Boat Flooring is a 6 mm closed-cell EVA foam sheet for cut-to-fit DIY deck upgrades. Several camo colorways are paired with a directional grooved surface for fishing boats, jon boats, pontoons and outdoor-focused layouts.

Important: This is a universal cut-to-fit sheet, not a model-specific pre-cut flooring kit. Measure the actual installation area before selecting a size.

Is this EVA foam boat flooring suitable for a DIY deck upgrade?

Yes. This 6 mm adhesive-backed EVA foam sheet can be cut into deck panels for a DIY upgrade on a stable, smooth, clean and dry prepared surface.

  • 6 mm closed-cell EVA foam: Adds cushioning and helps reduce everyday deck noise. The closed-cell construction resists routine water exposure, while surface temperature and long-term appearance vary with color, sunlight, use and care.
  • Grooved texture: Adds directional surface texture and can help organize water movement across the face of the panel. Grip still varies with water, fish residue, sunscreen, footwear, wear and other contaminants.
  • Cut-to-fit format: Plan groove direction before cutting and dry-fit adjacent pieces so the routed lines remain visually consistent.
  • Two adhesive choices: Select the PoseidonDeck adhesive or the available 3M adhesive option. Install only on a stable, smooth, clean and fully dry prepared surface.
  • Sectional replacement: Dividing the deck into logical panels can make future localized replacement easier.

Which boat deck surfaces can I cover with EVA foam?

Suitable prepared areas can include pontoons, bass boats, jon boats, fishing boats, motorboats, swim platforms, yachts and kayak decks. Compatibility depends on the actual substrate and installation conditions.

What sheet sizes and coverage are available?

The sheet sizes below show gross material coverage before cutting; usable coverage depends on your panel shapes, seams and pattern alignment. Check the selector for the available color and adhesive combinations.

How do I install adhesive-backed EVA boat flooring?

Template, cut and dry-fit each panel first, then bond it to a properly prepared, fully dry deck and press firmly across the entire panel.

  1. Measure the deck and mark groove direction.
  2. Repair unstable coatings or structural problems first.
  3. Clean and fully dry the installation surface.
  4. Cut and dry-fit every section.
  5. Peel the liner gradually and apply firm pressure across the full surface and edges.

Fishing and outdoor-use decks benefit from realistic maintenance planning. Read the EVA foam boat flooring problems guide for stains, heat, grip, peeling and removal considerations, then follow the DIY installation guide.

Need an exact make-and-model layout? Choose a supported model-specific custom kit rather than this universal sheet.

How many EVA flooring sheets do I need for my boat?

Calculate quantity from a cut layout of each deck section, rather than boat length or total square footage alone. Allow for trimming and pattern alignment, and keep hatches, drains and service access clear.

For example, a rectangular 94 × 44 in panel fits within one 94.5 × 46.2 in sheet before trimming allowance. A 100 × 44 in panel needs a planned seam or a different panel layout because it exceeds the sheet length. These are planning examples, not a fit guarantee.

Use the sheet quantity and layout guide, or send us your deck measurements for help selecting standard sheets.

Can I replace boat carpet with these EVA foam sheets?

Yes, if you remove the old carpet and adhesive residue and restore a stable, smooth, clean and fully dry deck before installing the EVA sheets. Repair damaged flooring first; EVA foam is a surface covering, not structural decking.

Is this a pre-cut kit for my boat model?

No. This product is a universal sheet that you measure and cut to fit your boat. Paper or cardboard templates can help you plan curved edges and hatch openings before cutting.

Can I install EVA flooring over textured non-skid or diamond plate?

Do not assume that adhesive-backed EVA sheets will bond reliably over raised or uneven texture. Contact support with photos of the deck before ordering; surface preparation and the actual contact area determine whether the installation is suitable.

Can I check the color and material before covering my whole boat?

Choose the smallest available sheet if you want to evaluate the real color, texture and material before a larger order. PoseidonDeck does not currently offer separate free sample swatches, and screen images can differ from the actual color.

Upgrade Your Boat

If you are considering replacing your boat flooring and don't want to spend too much? Our eva teak-like boat floor decking may be the perfect choice for you. It will give your boat a new look, make it look more luxurious. We have a variety of colors and sizes to choose. Take a minute and it may meet your needs

High Quality Materials

Our boat decking floor uses a high quality marine grade EVA foam material, not easily absorbing water. It is not easy to become hot in the sunlight, and it will not burn your feet when you stand on it with bare feet. The 6mm thickness provides a cushion and the fine pile surface provides a comfortable touch for your feet without having to put up with the hard surfaces of metal.

Excellent Slip Resistance

Crafted with scrunchies for a more textured look. The non-slip surface gives you a good grip on the boat. No need to worry about wet feet making you fall. Even it provides great grip for your pets. Let them come and go wherever they need a non-slip grip.

Easy to Cut and Install

The eva flooring is easily cut with a razor blade or scissors into the shape you want to fit nearly any surface on a boat where non-skid or protection for the boat's surface is required. It has a strong self-adhesive backing that sticks well to the surfaces.

Easy to Clean

The foam imitation teak boat deck hardware mat can be easily cleaned with broom or vacuum cleaner, or be pressure washed. It has wide applications such as boat deck floor, yacht floor, pontoon deck floor, RV flooring, swimming pool platform floor and etc. If you have other size or other needs, we can provide customized services.

3M Eva Foam Boat Decking Aluminum Pontoon Boat Decking

Having tried MarineMat in the past, I find this waterproof material to provide better shock absorbing and value. It was simple to hose it off and the eva foam bass boat flooring ensures it stays put even when the deck is wet. It was simple to clean and the boat floor ensures it stays put even when the deck is wet. I installed this best flooring for boats on my camper steps and appreciate how the camouflage boat flooring delivers a shock absorbing underfoot. Not just for boats.

Love this product, easy to use and has a lot more applications then just for a boat. I have used it on my bronco and a cooler that I keep in the back when I have the top off. Keep the lid of it much cooler. You can cut with a mat knife or scissors, the glue holds up in direct sunlight without any issues, and the material does not tear easily. Has lots of options for patterns and colors, and matched my bronco color better than I thought. I used it to protect the paint on my back door and the D pillar, and looks amazing while doing it.

Would purchase again

Chose this to freshen up a Grizzly 1448 and we are super happy with it so far. Put it in 3 months ago and its rock solid. We took care to properly prep the surfaces with sanding and cleaning with acetone before applying the Eva. Feels like a new boat.

Solid But Flexible Foam for Waterproof Covering

Let me start off by saying I got this boat flooring foam not to actually put on a boat, but as part of my window AC weatherizing strategy. The elegant gray foam has a generous thickness while still being flexible enough to conform to the outside of my window, and the sticky backing holds the foam in place without any extra security needed. We have had several torrential rain storms already this summer but this foam flooring has kept the inside of my house completely dry. I used utility scissors to cut the foam to size - it's a bit too thick for regular scissors - but the backing comes off easily and the roll goes much further than I thought it would. This will definitely be a recurring tool in my AC weatherizing toolkit.

Works great on my Hobie Cat!

Bought this to cover the side rails of my Hobie Cat 16 (and atop the stern of the hulls behind the trampoline). Much more economical than the rail kits, you get much more material and more varieties are available than the kits. Nice grip in the water. Seems just as durable as other neoprene kits (you want soft, and supple for grip rather than firm for durability) ... Only issue is that in this case where it is applied to a curved surface, some of the edges benefit from a touch of additional contact cement to ensure they don't lift (Interestingly I wrapped from the top of the rail -- starting at the edge of the trampoline -- and that edge adhered well from the start, but as it wrapped around the rail, the bottom was the edge that seemed to benefit from additional adhesive ... maybe because it didn't benefit from warming in the sun as much.)

Great quality marine foam pad with super clear instructions !

I got this for my small fishing boat to replace the old, worn-out carpet, and honestly I am impressed. The foam feels durable but soft underfoot, perfect for barefoot days out on the lake. Its also not slippery when wet, which is a big plus when I am reeling in a catch or the kids are climbing in and out with wet feet. One thing that really stood out was how detailed and user-friendly the instructions were. Its not just a list of steps-they actually walk you through surface prep, cutting tips, and even how to re-stick it if it ever starts peeling. The tips about not using it near fuel tanks or on uneven surfaces were really helpful and felt like advice from someone whos actually used this stuff on a real boat.Cutting and laying it took about an hour for our deck(I used a utility knife and a long metal ruler), and the backing peeled off clean. The adhesive was strong right away, but the manual says to wait 24 hours to let it fully bond- and I followed that just to be safe. Its been a few weeks now and its still holding up perfectly, even through some rainy afternoons and muddy shoes.

Totally Impressed

We took our Carin Terrier, Phoebe, out for her first kayak a couple weeks ago. She really enjoyed sitting on the front deck where she could see everything. That is until her claws lost traction on the plastic and she took a plunge in the lake. From then on, she has insisted on being a lap dog. So I ordered this boat flooring to make a pup perch that she could grip more easily. The color matched my kayak perfectly. I made the surface of the platform out of used plywood that I had around. I sanded it a bit and blew it off with an air compressor before I stuck down the EVA foam flooring. It seemed to really adhere well. Since my dog platform was about 21 inches wide and the EVA foam was 16 inches, I had to splice on an additional width from the length I cut off. The flooring is designed to do this (meaning it had a groove on the one edge that would match with the ridge on the opposite edge). It looks great from a distance but careful examination shows that the joint is not perfect. I used a

Black & Decker rotary cutter

to trim the edges of the foam flush with the edge of the plywood after it was stuck down. This worked great and made the job so much quicker and easier than trying to use some sort of blade. This foam will be so much safer and more comfortable for Phoebe to enjoy her next kayak ride.
